Video: Search Your TextExpander Snippets

TextExpanderI love TextExpander. I use it all day every day all over my Mac.

However, I am also getting old and sometimes I know I have created a TextExpander snippet for a filename, Evernote note, or something else, but I just can’t remember what my abbreviation was.

Luckily, TextExpander has a great search hotkey feature that lets you stay in whatever workflow you are doing, but search for your snippet right then and there. This video shows you how.

Update 12/13/2012: The first version of this video had some settings a bit mixed up. Sorry about that. This new version has been corrected.

Excellent vid!

Did you know that you can also just type "Skype" into the field in Evernote or where-ever, then invoke your hotkey and the search results will appear just below where you are typing?

That is, just type some part of a word that is somewhere in the snippet or abbreviation, then hit the hotkey combo, and the search happens using what you have recently typed, sort of like auto-complete.
