I am a pretty fast typist on the iPad and iPhone keyboard, but when there is repeated text, it can be a bit of a pain.
You may not be aware of this, but iOS has simple text expansion built in, so you can define handy shortcuts.
It is not nearly as fully featured as TextExpander Touch, but it works everywhere and is handy for those little things like e-mail addresses and naming files.
This video shows you how to set up these shortcuts, and how to use them.
