When scanning documents to Evernote, some people just rename the title of the note and don’t worry about the name of the actual PDF attachment. Others want to have the PDF named as well.
If you want your Evernote attachment to have the correct name, you have two options:
- Name the PDF correctly first and then add it to Evernote.
- Scan the document to Evernote and then rename it.
This post will cover door #2.
Evernote Rename Attachment On Mac
You see that I have a PDF attached with the name 114A3486.pdf. Not very descriptive.
To rename it, I just need to right-click on the PDF and choose Rename Attachment…
Now the PDF has the correct name.
Evernote Rename Attachment On Windows
On Windows it is the same thing. Find the attachment, right-click on it, and choose Rename….
How about you, are you an Evernote attachment renamer or do you just go by the note title?
