		<description>i will try the higher setting. and if it still feels that the scan quality is substandard, the amazon is hearing from me for a replacement. it is a good scanner otherwise!

		<description>Not sure what you mean by poorer quality scan since I don&#039;t own the S510M to compare the two, but you can always adjust the image quality in ScanSnap Manager. You could always check to make sure they&#039;re both on the same setting in the software. (Might not help, but just an idea.) </description>

i have a S510M and purchased a S300M. disappointed with scan quality. wondering if the piece is defective or i should expect lower quality.
