I'm in exactly the same situation as you, using a 510M and looking at the 1300. The one concern I anticipate is occasional client reluctance to let me install the ScanSnap software on their Windows machines. Presumably you've purchased the 1300 by now. Has that been an issue for you?

How do you get the S1300 to scan receipts 34″ long? Mine stops after about 14″.

great now what is the difference between the Deluxe and the regular version. I think it is the rack-2 filier software, but is that worth the $50 extra especially if I plan to use evernote? Would love to know. . .

Anyone get one yet? I'm having a hard time deciding between this and the more robust 510m. I don't do much scanning, mostly 3-5 pages a week, but maybe once or twice a year I might have to do 100+ pages. A 10 page feed tray could be annoying in this situations… but it's $200 less and more portable.

I use the 510M and love it. I decided a few months ago to look in to the 300 because it would be much easier to transport to clients offices. Since I read your site regularly I've held off and today I'm so glad I did.

The fact that the S1300 is cross platform is perfect for me, my clients are going to love this. I use a Mac most of the time but many of my clients prefer Windows. Do you have any idea about the cost of the 1300?

I'm leaving for Macworld tomorrow, I'll look for the ScanSnap team and see what I can find out.

Great that the S1300 is finally announced for the US, but as of this moment, I can't find an online retailer who's selling it yet. Not even http://www.buyfcpa.com/ nor Amazon. Looking forward to updates to inform us where we can buy!
