Rather than take each piece of paper/mail through the entire process separately - from open mail to shred, Do one step at a time to every piece of paper. I.E. Open mail (times n), scan everything, process everything, then shred everything at one time. P.S. I do not shred until I have a backup. His technique is a real time waster.
